Everyday Same Dal Cooked in same style becomes Boring !!
So it’s important to give a twist to our daily meals and recipes so that our tummy has variations of the same product and the health value of the ingredients are also maintained.
I made this dal (pulses) in a different way by adding sauted beans to the half cooked dal.
Ingredients that you need for making this Beans Dal are:
- Lentils(Urad or Mixed dal)- Mixed dal is mixture of 5 different lentils and is highly nutrious.
- Onion and ginger crushed
- Cumin seeds and carom seeds
Dal you can prepare by adding the lentils in the pressure cooker and adding spices as per your taste.Let this dal be half cooked only.
In a pan add crushed the cumin and carom seeds, add ginger garlic and when it turns color add the beans
Let this cook till the beans are tender.Add salt
Add the sauted beans to the half cooked dal (I have my half cooked dal – you can prepare dal as per your choice)
Add salt and garam masala
Cover the lid and let this cook for 5-10 minutes.
Add some coriander leaves and pepper.
This dal can be eaten with any rice or paratha or roti.
